Vignettes: Styling a shelf

I have a modern IKEA shelf in the guest bedroom and it creates an endless platform to style and transform the feel of the room.  Some tips for shelf styling:  Negative space is important; when there’s too much to look at it becomes less unique. No book end?  No problem.  Just about anything heavier than a coffee mug will make a suitable book-end.

{ a few vignette’s I’ve styled using the same shelf space }

Adding a printed textile can warm up the space  Rosemary is a great pot filler, low maintenance & lovely smell
